Channel NewsAsia goes 'live' on M1's video streaming service
Using the video streaming device called "Videos", users of Nokia 3650 can catch the latest news provided by CNA on their mobile phones


Channel NewsAsia (CNA) has tied up with MobileOne to offer a new video streaming service to its customers.

Using the video streaming device called "Videos", users of Nokia 3650 can catch the latest news provided by CNA on their mobile phones.

Not only will users be able to catch the programmes "live", they can tune in for as long as they want and not worry about huge file size.

"We are happy to partner such an esteemed news and information station like Channel NewsAsia in bringing local and regional news to our customers whenever and wherever they want it. With video streaming, we have taken another step forward in the way we deliver news and information to our customers," said Mr Neil Montefiore, CEO of M1.

"These are exciting times. We are pleased to be part of this new delivery platform that gives consumers a whole lot of choices - the convenience of not just picking what and when to watch, but how to watch their favourite programmes," said Mr Shaun Seow, CEO, MediaCorp News Pte Ltd.

Apart from CNA news, customers can also watch music videos by international and regional artistes, as well as movie trailers of blockbuster movies.

To access "Videos", customers simply have to log on to Miworld Mobile on their mobile phones followed by "Multimedia" and then click on "Videos" to enjoy the clips.

There is no registration or monthly subscription to the service. Only GPRS charges apply at 1.04 cents/kb.
