The Teletext service is a free service operated by MediaCorp Pte Ltd.

We were the first in Asia to introduce the teletext service on Channel 5 in August 1983. It was started as a public service, offering news reports, stock information and some ministry announcements.

Through the years, we have expanded our services and content into three MediaCorp TV channels - Channel 5, Channel NewsAsia and Channel 8.

Channel NewsAsia is our Business & Community hub. It contains financial information such as share prices, unit trusts and currency rates; news and sports; flight information; career listings; COE & ERP rates; and ministry & town council listings.

Channel 5 is an Entertainment and Lifestyle channel. It displays Games, Health & Entertainment News, Music & Movie Reviews, Events, Ringtone Downloads, TV/Radio Listings and Lottery Results.

Channel 8 makes Classified Advertisements work for you. Categories include Food, Beauty & Health, Property, Travel, Education, Club Memberships, Home & Biz Needs, Services and Vehicles.

The Teletext website, first launched in 1999, contained screen captures of pages from Channels 5 and 8. In March 2002, we redesigned the site to include Channel NewsAsia.

Today, Teletext continues to expand, offering viewers and surfers classified listings. We are now building a database that allows you to search and be notified of classified advertisements ranging from vehicle, property to garage sale and greetings.
